ceramic cup and saucer set

Why is tea/coffee mostly drunk in ceramic cup?

In our daily lives, we drink most of our coffee/tea at home, at the office, or outside. Sometimes use portable thermos cups when we go camping. Occasionally I pick up a coffee to go from a coffee shop on the way, it is usually served in styrofoam cups.

Hot coffee in a Styrofoam cup tastes terrible because the chemicals in the cup leach into the hot liquid. Styrene is a chemical that leaches. It is a carcinogenic chemical. Pluse Styrofoam is harmful to the environment.

First, ceramic cups and saucer sets are usually fired at high temperatures, while glass cups are usually made by melting silicate minerals at high temperatures. Both materials have high chemical stability and can resist erosion by corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis, and salts. Therefore, from the perspective of the material itself, porcelain cups and glass cups have little impact on water quality.

Second, ceramic cup taste good, and glass is stronger in terms of heat absorption and penetration. Ceramic cups retain temperature.

Third, in addition to material, the appearance and shape of ceramics have more options than glass. For example, there are different patterns such as decals, electroplating, embossing, and hand-painting.
